Outreach

Outreach is a high priority for our congregation. Our church makes substantial contributions to the United Church of Canada’s Mission and Service Fund, which supports outreach across our country and globally.

Hampton United Church has also been active, for over a decade, in sponsoring refugee families to come to the safety of Canada. Recently, we sponsored three Syrian Refugee families and continue to provide friendship and support as they adjust to living and working in New Brunswick!

Our congregation actively supports the Hampton Food Basket. Each month we bring food items (usually the 2nd Sunday of the month) to church. We have also supported their Back to School Program by providing backpacks, school supplies and healthy school snacks. Each Advent, Hampton United Church hosts a community concert and gathering with all churches in Hampton to raise much needed funds for the Hampton Food Basket’s Christmas Programs. This concert raises over $5000 each year.

United Church Women
UCW

Hampton United Church has two active UCW units, Heart Friends and the Friendship Group. Each unit meets monthly, with the exception of summer months. Meetings provide an opportunity for members to come together for support and friendship, to share in devotions, and to plan fundraising events.

All women of the congregation are welcome. More

Fractured Wholeness

Fractured Wholeness takes place downstairs at Hampton United Church every Thursday from 1:00-3:00 pm.  During this time people assemble to create mosaics using wall tiles or other materials.  Frames are provided at varying costs (typically $5 or $7 depending on the size of the frame).  Tiles of various colours are also available.  Each participant contributes $2 weekly, which goes toward the cost of supplies (tiles, glue, grout, etc.).  It is an informal gathering of conversation and creativity.  No experience is necessary.

There will always be someone available to help you out if you’d like to try your hand at creating a mosaic. Feel free to drop in to see what’s involved.

Super Sundaes

Throughout the year, we have Super Sundaes, when we have a potluck following worship including delicious ice cream sundaes. This is fun for children of ALL AGES (even 89!).

We follow lunch with a family activity, such as apple picking, scavenger hunt, maple syrup tour or another fun family event. Everyone is welcome to attend!
