Together with thousands of Canadians across the country, we are taking part
in Coldest Night of Year (CNOY) by walking and fundraising to support
people and families experiencing homelessness, hurt, and hunger in
our community.
IT IS COLD OUT THERE! And we’re doing something about it!
In the Saint John area we are supporting OUTFLOW MINISTRY. Outflow
operates the men’s 24-hour homeless shelter on Waterloo Street, a 24-
hour drop-in centre and coordinates more than 500 takeout evening
meals each week.
We extend a big thank you to those who have made donations to our
CNOY team “Hampton United Church”. We are moving closer to our
$800 goal.
IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO DONATE to this team, please make a
donation to Hampton United Church, clearly marked Coldest Night of the
Year. Donations can be made through your offering envelopes or through
e-transfer. (office@hamptonunited.ca)
We’re very pleased to report that our walking team is already 21 people
strong. Let’s grow it larger! Everyone is welcome! Please reach out to
Marion at mclean.dm@gmail.com or 506.650.4378 if you would like to
register, or if you have any questions.
On February 28 we’ll be gathering at
Hampton United Church at 3 pm and walking a 2km loop.
It’s interesting to look at the CNOY Saint John website to see what’s
happening and the teams involved. https://cnoy.org/location/saintjohn
