CNOY is collecting donations that fund critical services at a local charity partner who serves and supports vulnerable families and individuals in our CNOY community. We walk through the cold on February 24, 2024 to declare our concern for people who have no home, and take shelter in nooks and crannies. We walk for those whose days are a battle to house and feed their families, and whose nights are filled with fear and frustration. We walk for those driven from home by violence and abuse. Can you imagine spending a night outside in a tent, cold, hungry and alone in our New Brunswick January? Sadly, there are far too many who are living what we can not imaging.

There is a homeless camp set up in the sanctuary representing today’s unhoused. You can help by bringing in donations of:
1. socks, hats, scarfs – always needed this time of year
2. sleeping bags and blankets – do not have to be new
3. warm clothing – clean and suitable for winter conditions
4. cash – wouldn’t it be amazing to raise enough money to
buy a new tent? Cash and etransfer to huc@nb.aibn.com is gratefully accepted.
5. hand and foot warmers – Available at Costco, Canadian Tire, Dollar Store and Princess Auto.

We will only collect items for a short while before turning our efforts to the Coldest Night of the Year.
